Commercial Transportation Fuels the Economy.

TransGroup recognizes that freight transportation and other logistics activities play a significant role in the environmental impacts associated with our customers’ operations. Therefore, we have been looking into ways that we can help our customers measure/mitigate those impacts and enhance their own sustainability and green initiatives.

Examples of our freight-focused environmental initiatives include:

•TransGroup is a member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Transport Partnership: The U.S. EPA recognizes TransGroup Worldwide Logistics for committing to improve the environmental performance of its freight operations. The SmartWay® Transport Partnership is a voluntary collaboration between U.S. EPA and the freight industry designed to increase energy efficiency while significantly reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution.

•TransNeutral – Eco-Responsible Transport Logistics: TransNeutral is an opt-in program that calculates shipment-specific carbon footprints and enables our customers to offset the CO2 emissions that result from their shipments. For every ton of CO2 a TransNeutral shipment puts out, another ton can be taken away or prevented.

•Asset Recovery and Reverse Logistics: End-of-product-lifecycle recovery and disposition services enable our technology and other asset-laden customers to recover and properly recycle and/or dispose of equipment that has reached and end-of-product-lifecycle milestone.

TransGroup is committed to continually improve our environmental knowledge and impacts by partnering with our clients and their various supply chain stakeholders, as well as with government agencies and our carrier base, to identify and explore opportunities to improve the collective environmental impact of our freight transportation and logistics operations.
